I would highly recommend Yeadon/Sparks Homes, Inc. They provided courteous, trustworthy service and they were always available if we had concerns or questions. They were very creative, knowledgeable and helpful to us with each stage of the building process from design to landscaping. In fact, it was because of their suggestions that we have a useful window between our kitchen and great room; a fabulous, lit tray ceiling in our master bedroom; and a vaulted ceiling with many plant shelves in our great room. do a new addition as well as renovation to our home. The new addition consisted of three stories on the south side of our current house and was a complicated tie on as opposed to new construction. We are in the construction business and build condominium and larger commercial buildings and are aware of what goes into the building process, permits, design, architectural, contractors, etc. We were more than satisfied with the craftsmanship and design, inside and out, of this project.
As we began the process of interviewing for this project we dealt more with Andy and were totally impressed with his attitude, sincerity, and willingness to work with us and not settle for anything less than perfection. On a personal nature, dealing with Andy, we found him to be a Christian and have a strong commitment to his family. In working day to day Andy was always where he said he would be, on time, and very organized. He always seemed to have a talent of bringing everything together as he would have many things going on at one time within the house. You only had to mention something one time that you wanted done and he would see that it was completed. In our existing house as we corrected things that were inherited from the previous contractor, Andy's expertise of solving and correcting the problem was very impressive. His ability to work with many sub contractors, plumbers, electricians, framers, etc., was very pleasant and impressive. You could tell the respect that Andy created with the workers was very sincere. Comments were made to us from many sources of how good Andy was to work with and their respect for his leadership and ability was sincere.
In conclusion, our project came in on time and within budget. We feel the quality, upon completion, was as good, or better than we expected. Andy's expectation, as he was in the project, was to always direct us to do the highest quality of work and also he would do the little things as if it were his own home even though it might mean extra work for him. We have absolutely no reservation in recommending Andy and Tim's company. When we first met with Andy and Tim over 18 months ago, my wife and I were very skeptical about refurbishing our entire existing home. After the meeting was over, there was no doubt in our minds that Tim and Andy were the men for the job. After being married for only 4 years, this process was a huge undertaking for our family. We knew we would be working on a very tight budget with a very strict timeline. We needed to find a builder who was honest, trustworthy, and someone who shared our dream. Yeadon Sparks were great listeners to our concerns, they were great organizers for our tasks/plans, and they were reliable businessmen when it came time to get to work.
The positive attitude, personal touch, on-site management, and strong commitment for nothing less than perfection is what we experienced. Tim and Andy were true to their word in more than just a contract. It seemed as though they were always thinking one step ahead presenting solutions and alternatives to questions as the project got going.
Before we met Tim and Andy, I would have to describe our feelings toward this project as the following: tentative, nervous, confusing, wary, uneasy, and quite frankly not looking forward to dealing with contractors. After we met with Tim and Andy and seeing the finished product, I would describe the experience as: professional, fun, committed, positive attitude, sincere, organized, pleasant, available, knowledgeable, helpful, exceed expectations, and high quality.
